  • Is Douglass Mortuary El Segundo still open?

    Yes, we remain open and ready to serve families with our full range of services including funerals, memorials, cremation services, burial services, and pre-planning services. 

  • What happens to my preneed policy?

    We will maintain the preneed policy as valid. Families may use our other locations to hold services or choose to hold services at local churches, hotels, or other places that are meaningful to you.

  • What happens to services when Douglass Mortuary El Segundo closes?

    We can use churches, hotels and other places that are meaningful to you in the El Segundo community. Our other funeral home locations in Lynnwood and Hawthorn, are also great options for holding services.

  • What is the expected timeline for the sale?

    We will keep our community informed about updates, but the funeral home will remain open and continue to operate until a sale occurs and escrow ensues.
